My son is three years old and Dr. Mehotra and Dr. Pompey have been taking care of him since his birth. Both the doctors are great, they are very detailed during check ups, explains conditions very well, and most importantly, they listen carefully to all our concerns, if there is any. We know we can trust them, and we do. We visits both of their offices in Edison and Piscataway. Front desk staffs are also easy to communicate with. They are very helpful in answering questions and in scheduling appointments, specially when you need any specific dates and times. Office medical staffs are very good too. One of them is Ms. Sujata who is outstanding in dealing with my son and she knows exactly how to take care of my son’s tantrums. She always has a smile on her face, and very friendly to talk. My son doesn’t get scared during vaccination if she is administering it to him. My wife always feel comfortable with my son if Ms. Sujata is in the office. Overall, our experience at my whole child pediatrics is great.
Both the doctors are really great and provide however much time is needed to clear all my questions. Staff not so much although some staff members are very understanding and provide great help others are the worst. I had booked an appointment on Thursday for an urgent form that had to be filled out for my son and the nurse ( Gabriella) her name was I believe types the appointment but forgets to save the appointment… we call in the next day and they tell us to come to the office to which we do and try to book another appointment preferably after my sons school dismissal for which he cannot miss due to class regulations. I tell her (Gabriella) this and what does she do? Starts to blame me for booking late and for the time.. apart from that starts to blame my son for informing me about the forms to which he had received the day the appointment was being booked (Thursday). Although the doctors are competent and all I could ask for the staff is utmost disgusting and unprofessional. I really didn’t not expect this type of behavior from them.
There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with the doctors at this office. My issue is with the front desk staff. You are working with PEDIATRIC patients. My boyfriend brought our seven month old son into the Piscataway office on Wednesday, September 21. We called shortly after they opened because my son was showing sick symptoms runny nose sneezing coughing etc. He got to the appointment about 10-15 minutes late. Our son was being inconsolable and would not let us put him down without hysterically crying. When my boyfriend went to check in the woman on the front left side was extremely rude and had a very nasty attitude for him being late to the appointment. Fast forward to today Thursday, September 22 he called because we received a text about a missed appointment from yesterday. The same woman who was sitting at the check-in desk and gave my boyfriend an attitude yesterday gave him a nasty attitude again this morning for asking a simple question. I work in healthcare and understand it can be frustrating when patients are late but there is no reason to give them an attitude as soon as they come in the door or on the telephone. We will not be returning to this office and will be finding a new pediatrician. Advice for the office get some staff who actually likes their job.
I have been taking my kids to Dr. Naveen Mehrotra for past decade at the Piscataway location. I always found good care and attention specially when kids are sick from both the doctors at this location which includes Dr. Amrita Pompy. The support staff has been professional and I have seen them working around the clock. The last few months Mrs. Aarti on the front office desk has elevated the ease of coordination/scheduling and faster response specially in the season of school reopening.
We are with My whole child Pediatrics for close to 14 years… never had issues for appointments including sick visits, the staff at Piscatway office specially Pratiksha is so cooperative to accommodate at earliest and also sending forms to school to save my an hour trip to office. Not to forget Sujata as well for her kindness to kids.
